30 Days of Thanks

It’s so hard to believe that November 1st is now upon us and 2010 will soon be just a memory. In my honest heart of hearts, I can’t say that I will be sorry for 2010 to be over. It’s not been the easiest of years. There have certainly been many highs but the lows brought challenges that tested every emotion I have. If anything, as I look back on 2010 I will remember it as the year that I cleansed myself from some big challenges that were weighing me down – emotionally, physically and financially. Although at times it feels like I have lost more than I have gained this year, I still have a lot of reasons to be grateful.

While looking at my Twitter account today, I came across the 30 Days of Thanks project (http://www.30daysofthanks.com/). The timing felt very right to join the project. The last few months, albeit a challenge, have taught me that I am stronger than I ever imagined and I was not born to break. So now that the hard work of “getting through” is over, I would rather focus on what I do have versus what feels like has been lost. And so for the next 30 days, I will concentrate on giving thanks by keeping a gratitude blog.

Why not join me? Let’s celebrate all that is good in the world and in our lives. It’s time to dwell in gratitude versus negativity.
